Project Associate, Building Assessments & Planning Job Location
Position Overview – Project Associate for Building Assessments and Planning Team
The Project Associate provides essential support for engineering projects, focusing on data collection, documentation, and coordination. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals starting their career in engineering and seeking to develop technical and project management skills. This role will be in our Building Assessment and Planning department which focuses on reserve fund studies, building condition assessments, and performance audits. You will be exposed to all elements and components of building systems (high-rise, low-rise, townhouse) and learn how to analyze the condition of each of these components and what is required to repair/replace/maintain them over the life of the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform site visits to collect measurements, photographs, and field data.
- Assist in compiling and analyzing data for use in engineering designs and reports.
- Draft preliminary project documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all documents are organized and accessible in accordance with company standards.
- Assist Project Engineers and Leads in scheduling meetings and tracking progress.
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and team members to relay updates.
Learning and Development
- Participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities.
- Shadow senior team members to gain exposure to various aspects of engineering projects.
- We allow 2 weeks of vacation during the 12-month term, but it is unpaid.
- Every week we do Friday half days that are work from home.
- Role is a combo of both site and office work.
