Role Overview Concept Design Engineer Electrical & Automation Systems – From proposal to product development, you architect electrical and automation systems for complex naval ships, leading innovation projects and serving as a technical link among stakeholders.
Responsibilities Design high‑quality electrical system architectures, load balances, electromagnetic control measures and integrated ship management layouts.
Lead product development and innovation projects focused on Manning & Automation and Electrical systems.
Draft technical specifications, reports, presentations and perform cost calculations, risk assessments, and schedules.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize proposal outcomes.
Contribute to innovation projects, seminars, and working groups to maintain technical edge.
Support development of the P&P department and ensure compliance with HSEQ policies.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
Experience in design and proposal processes for complex (naval) vessels.
Proficiency with computerized design and innovation methods.
Knowledge of electrical/electronic system integration.
Fluent in Dutch and English (written and verbal).
Ready to travel long distances and work abroad.
Excellent references; security screening is part of the hiring process.
Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
