Job Description & How to Apply Below

SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people‑first culture.

The Role

You’ll lead the delivery of mine water and hydrology projects from planning through to detailed design, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role focuses primarily on mine water management, hydrology and water resource engineering for local and international mining projects, with additional exposure to feasibility studies, due diligence, ESIA and closure planning, and a small amount of multi‑disciplinary work across renewables, infrastructure, power, industrial and built‑environment sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Project and technical leadership – delivering integrated water management solutions across the mining lifecycle, including feasibility studies (PEA/PFS/FS), operational improvements, due diligence, ESIA and closure planning.
  • Client management and proposal support – enquiry handling, client liaison, technical workshops, reporting, QA/QC and site visits.
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers and scientists – supporting team capability, resource planning and strategic development.
  • Desk‑based work alongside site visits across the UK, Ireland, Europe and internationally – collaborating with colleagues across Europe, Asia‑Pacific, Africa and the Americas.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA, Engineering and Global Advisory on complex and impactful mining projects, with opportunities for European and international exposure.
