Supply Chain Lead (Procurement - Major Infrastructure)

Remote (90%) with occasional travel to Warwick & project sites.

6 months (initial). Day Rate:
From 650 per day (via Umbrella).

We're supporting a major UK energy infrastructure organisation delivering critical projects across hydrogen and carbon capture – key areas driving the UK's transition to a low‑carbon future.

They are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Lead to play a pivotal role during the early project (FEED) phase, leading procurement activity and establishing the frameworks that will underpin large‑scale infrastructure delivery.

This is a high‑impact role where you will shape procurement strategy, build frameworks from the ground up, and engage with top‑tier suppliers across complex, high‑value programmes.

As Supply Chain Lead, you will take ownership of procurement strategy and delivery across early‑stage infrastructure projects.

• Leading end‑to‑end procurement activity across FEED‑stage projects
• Designing and implementing procurement frameworks and call‑off structures
• Developing compliant procurement strategies aligned to UCR 2016
• Managing procurement packages from market engagement through to contract award
• Engaging with Tier 1 contractors and specialist suppliers
• Collaborating with engineering and project teams to define scope and tender strategies
• Supporting the development of commercial models and delivery approaches

• Strong background in major infrastructure or construction projects
• Proven experience working in early project phases (FEED stage)
• Demonstrated ability to build procurement frameworks from scratch
• In‑depth knowledge of UCR 2016 (Utilities Contracts Regulations)
• Experience with in regulated utilities or public sector procurement
• Ability to operate independently in a complex, fast‑paced environment
