We are looking for a full‑time Senior Civil Engineer to join either our Saskatoon, Regina, or Calgary team! This position will report to the Civil/Structural Discipline Lead. Indigenous applicants are encouraged to apply.
Position Overview Primary Responsibilities- Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.
- Plan and design major civil projects such as overall site planning, roads, secondary containments, ponds, ditches, drainage, water, and waste management systems.
- Develop civil construction specifications and procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate construction materials.
- Review geotechnical reports and work with structural engineers to determine the most appropriate structural foundation(s); interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work.
- Conduct field services for civil works.
- Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of Canadian codes and other regulations.
- Establish and monitor construction work schedules.
- Conduct and/or participate in feasibility studies, economic analyses, traffic studies, environmental impact studies, or other investigations.
- Act as project or site supervisor for land survey or construction work.
- Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects.
- Supervise technicians, technologists, and junior engineers, and review and approve civil designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline is required.
- Licensing with APEGS or another Canadian province is required.
- Recent experience in the heavy industrial mining or oil and gas sectors is considered an asset.
- Experience working with Geographic Information System software such as ArcGIS, and modelling software such as AutoCAD Civil3D and Micro Station.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
- Ability to maintain productive interdisciplinary and client communication.

Commensurate with education and experience.

Work hours:
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Work location:
