Role Description  This is a hybrid full‑time role based in Acheson, AB, with opportunities for some work from home. As a Senior Wood Truss and EWP (Engineered Wood Products) Designer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and effective design layouts for wood trusses and EWP systems. You will work closely with sales teams, production staff, and customers to ensure designs meet project specifications, building codes, and customer requirements.

Additional responsibilities include reviewing project blueprints, maintaining strong design documentation, managing technical communications, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality results.
Qualifications   MITEK software or related industry software
Proficiency in designing wood trusses and engineered wood products using specialized design software
Robust understanding of building codes, structural principles, and materials used in construction
Experience interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and architectural plans
Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams, engineers, and production staff
Attention to detail and commitment to creating accurate, high-quality designs
Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and time management skills
Post‑secondary education in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Structural Technology, or Architecture
Experience in the construction or building materials industry with a focus on wood truss and EWP design
