Job Overview
WSP is recruiting an Environmental Scientist to join its Remediation Program Management (RPM) team. The role involves managing complex environmental projects, including Phase I/II ESAs, risk assessment, and remediation activities across Canada.
Responsibilities- Apply and expand technical, client delivery and project delivery skills within a Canadian‑based firm.
- Identify and understand project objectives, develop work instructions and health and safety plans.
- Support the development and improvement of project health and safety plans according to Zero Harm policy.
- Participate as a member of a 10‑20 person client‑specific delivery team while leveraging the expertise of the RPM group.
- Collaborate with a Practice Area Network (PAN) to resolve complex technical issues.
- Complete fieldwork assignments in Alberta foothills and other locations in Western/Northern Canada up to 50% of the time.
- Maintain a work‑life balance with a hybrid model of remote work and office presence three days a week.
- Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in the environmental industry.
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to coordinate activities.
- Experience with health and safety training, preferably related to the oil and gas industry.
- Passion for outdoor work and willingness to travel across Western and Northern Canada.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $62,900 – $83,600
MB & ON: $69,900 – $92,900
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $76,900 – $102,100
Final salary may vary based on education, experience and location.
