Reliability Engineer

Drive the reliability and safety of innovative medical technology products from development through commercialization. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements while improving customer satisfaction and reducing field failures.

Responsibilities

Reliability Strategy & Product Development

Implement reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) strategies throughout the product lifecycle.

Participate in product design reviews and reliability assessments to ensure robust product designs and manufacturing processes.

Apply Design for Reliability (DfR) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies to improve product performance and quality.

Reliability Testing & Validation

Develop and execute reliability test strategies, including life testing, accelerated life testing (ALT), HALT, HASS, durability testing, and other verification activities.

Define reliability requirements and validate product performance against established targets.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products meet all reliability and safety requirements.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Perform advanced statistical analyses including Weibull analysis, regression modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, hazard analysis, reliability growth assessments, and warranty trend analysis.

Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, and verification activities to improve product reliability and reduce warranty claims.

Develop forecasts and reliability models to support decision-making and long-term product performance.

Quality & Manufacturing Support

Conduct Design FMEAs and recommend design improvements to enhance product reliability.

Work with manufacturing teams to evaluate and qualify new technologies, processes, and production methods.

Maintain accurate technical documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and Quality Management System requirements.

Provide technical recommendations to continuously improve products, services, and reliability programs.

Candidate Profile

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of experience in reliability engineering, reliability testing, Design for Reliability, software quality, software testing, product reliability analysis, or a related field (Bachelor's degree route).

Candidates with a Master’s degree and limited professional experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience with reliability methodologies such as FMEA, Weibull Analysis, Reliability Growth Analysis, RAMS, and statistical modeling.

Experience working within regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, or high-tech manufacturing is preferred.

Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
