Telecom Senior Electrical Engineer

Position: Telecom Senior Electrical Engineer Hybrid Role
Become a Senior Electrical Telecom Engineer with Qualus, split between our Calgary, AB, and Vancouver, BC offices. Drive the design of advanced telecommunications systems supporting utilities in Canada.
This hybrid position emphasizes leadership in engineering design and compliance for critical infrastructure projects. You will apply your extensive telecommunications expertise while managing project timelines, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with diverse teams. Make a significant impact within Qualus’s T&D Canada business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare telecom engineering design packages as the Professional of Record

• Improve compliance reviews and quality control on designs

• Create engineering cost estimates following AACE standards

• Handle multiple projects focusing on scope, schedule, and budget

• Facilitate collaboration with clients and various internal disciplines
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Canada

• 10+ years of telecommunications experience in utility sectors

• Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code

• Valid Canadian driver’s license and ability to work in Canada
