Overview
As an air quality engineer and project manager, you'll play a crucial role in air quality management, air emission and GHG calculations, environmental compliance and regulatory approvals, atmospheric dispersion modelling, and ambient air quality assessment and monitoring.
ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be required to lead various engineering phases and participate in air quality aspects of permit applications and sector studies. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to help quantify atmospheric contaminant emissions, establish GHG emission inventories, measure the impact of industrial activities on ambient air quality and prepare technical reports.
- Support and be involved in the growth of a dynamic team of engineers, scientists, and technologists.
- Obtain environmental permits and approvals from Québec and other Canadian regulatory authorities.
- Lead atmospheric dispersion modelling studies.
- Assess and select equipment for controlling atmospheric emissions.
- Propose solutions to manage GHGs and other pollutants.
- Write technical reports and perform engineering calculations.
- Lead site work.
- Manage and lead projects to ensure technical quality and financial performance.
- Maintain relationships with clients and ensure technical discussions.
- Contribute to marketing and business development.
- Lead and help prepare proposals, manage projects and engage in business development within the Air Quality team.
- Promote expertise to a variety of industrial markets.
- University degree in an engineering field and membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- At least 12 years of experience in air quality and atmospheric emissions and in leading engineering projects.
- Ability to draft technical documents.
- Advanced English skills for collaboration with BBA offices and clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; occasional or daily use may be required.
- Advanced French skills for collaboration with BBA offices and clients in Québec.
- Availability for short‑term assignments with clients in Québec and other parts of Canada.
- Knowledge of air emissions and air quality regulations.
- Experience in heavy industry sectors (mining, petrochemicals, energy, etc.).
