Job Summary
The Data & Infrastructure Engineer Intern supports the team in maintaining and provisioning remotely accessed VDIs for use in VDRs (Virtual Data Rooms) and hosted application platforms (SaaS). Responsibilities include controlling access to specific data areas without exposing client data to other clients, creating VM images with required applications, ensuring licenses are obtained correctly, and maintaining data stewardship—tracking, segregating, naming, storing, and deleting client data in accordance with SLB standards and client agreements.
As with every well‑established team, we sometimes persist with “the way we have always done it.” A successful candidate will be encouraged to propose improvements to existing work practices.

- Assist in deploying SLB and, when required, third‑party applications on VDI systems.
- Help clients get started on accessing and using hosted solutions.
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and process improvement activities.
- Participate in team meetings, technical discussions, and ongoing learning activities.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data structures, databases, and data processing concepts.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Perl, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of VMware, vSphere, and Windows server management.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluency in English.
We are open to flexible, hybrid working with a combination of on‑site and at‑home days, typically scheduling remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays.
