Lead Civil Engineer

Our client, a growing engineering consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to deliver and lead design work across UK water projects. This is a contract position based in Manchester, with remote working options available.

• Providing technical leadership to the civil design team
• Managing water and wastewater projects, including UMON upgrades, CSOs, and pipelines
• Leading both outline and detailed design phases
• Ensuring compliance with standards and regulations during all project phases
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development
• Maintaining client relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction
• Preparing detailed technical reports and presentations

• Experience in civil engineering, particularly within the water sector
• Proven background in design and technical leadership
• Strong understanding of working with regulated water companies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
