Job Summary /

Role Description

Construction Mechanical Completion Junior Engineer (Turnover Engineer) ensures the execution of all aspects related to mechanical completion, both in home office and at site.

Responsibilities

Receive the original punch list from discipline supervisors or quality construction inspectors, record them on the punch list record logbook and assure their insertion in MM.
Take care of punch list progress, maintain updated report of the closed items, monitor status of pending priority punch list in each subsystem, keep construction management informed, and address discipline supervisors / subcontractors punch list close‑out as per priority.
Provide punch list printouts to supervisors, collect approval signatures from the responsible once field works are completed.
Monitor discipline completion, issue discipline acceptance certificate according to handover procedure when a discipline is completed within a subsystem.
Monitor field completion dossier status for each subsystem/system, issue subsystem / system ready for commissioning certificate according to handover procedure.
Assign subsystems / check sheets to each component/TAG according to approved ITPs.
Participate in weekly meetings with construction / commissioning teams for hand over completion according to commissioning prioritization.
Verify that all punch points are properly characterized in the punch list forms before inputting them to MILEMATE.
Prepare daily / weekly / monthly mechanical completion reports shared with construction / commissioning teams.
Lead construction team to handover DAC (Discipline Acceptance Certificate).
Lead commissioning team to handover MCC (Mechanical Completion Certificate) to client.
Issue DAC, MCC and RFSU with proper certificates and documents.
Prepare the final dossier (field inspection certification dossier).
Help the mechanical completion coordinator / engineers populate data into MILEMATE.
Scan completed check sheets to MILEMATE, insert / close punch lists in MILEMATE, archive all documents.

Person Specification Knowledge & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably within construction or oil and gas industry.
Relevant experience in 3 major EPC projects; oil & gas, petrochemical sector.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and management skills.
Team-oriented, self‑motivated, strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
