Position: Certification Engineer - MWS (Offshore & Subsea Project)
Location: Turbigo

AVENTA   is a leading engineering and project management consultancy firm for the Energy sector. On behalf of a  major   Client in the Oil & Gas industry, we are seeking a highly experienced  Certification Engineer   with a focus on  Marine Warranty Survey (MWS)   for a strategic project in the Mediterranean.
Project Overview    The successful candidate will join the  QA/QC   team overseeing a high-profile project involving the construction of new  sealines   and the  revamping   of existing offshore platforms. This is a long-term assignment based in  Milan (Home Office)  , with a project duration extending through  December 31, 2027  .

Key Responsibilities    The role focuses on the management of certification processes, technical document review, and coordination with Marine Warranty Surveyors to ensure all offshore and subsea assets are compliant:
Certification Management:
Overseeing the certification life-cycle for subsea components and offshore structures, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications.
MWS Coordination:
Acting as the primary focal point for  Marine Warranty Survey (MWS)   activities, ensuring all technical documentation required for "Certificates of Approval" is submitted, reviewed, and approved.
Document Supervision & Review:
Systematic review and validation of design reports, installation procedures, and "as-built" documentation from a certification and warranty perspective.
QA/QC Compliance:
Ensuring that all procurement and construction activities meet the required quality standards and regulatory codes (e.g., DNV, API, ASME).
Technical Interface:
Collaborating with Engineering and Marine Operations teams to resolve technical queries (TQs) and non-conformance reports (NCRs) related to certification.
Reporting & Administration:
Accurate management and compilation of project  timesheets  , certification registries, and periodic QA/QC status reporting.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

10+ years of experience in Certification, QA/QC, or Marine Warranty roles within the  Oil & Gas   sector, specifically for  Offshore and Subsea   projects.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of offshore installation procedures (pipeline laying, lifting, transportation) and the specific requirements of Marine Warranty Surveyors.
Codes & Standards:
In-depth knowledge of international codes such as DNV (specifically DNV-ST-N001 for marine operations), API, and ISO.

Languages:

Full professional proficiency in  English   (written and spoken) is mandatory; knowledge of Italian is a strong asset.

Soft Skills:

Meticulous attention to technical detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex certification dossiers in a corporate office environment.
