Robotics and Automation Engineer

For our Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation Air Insulated Switchgear Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchboards Lead Factory in Gebze, we are searching for the Automation Engineer. Reporting to Head of Development and Automation Projects,

• Open to innovation and continuous improvement – Demonstrates a proactive mindset towards adopting new technologies and driving efficiency through automation.
• Hands‑on experience in industrial automation systems – Proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated production lines and machinery.
• Hands‑on experience with collaborative robots (Cobots, e.g., Universal Robots) and designing safe collaborative work spaces.
• Proficient in robotic programming and integration – Experience with programming and commissioning industrial robots (e.g., KUKA, FANUC), including vision systems and safety interfaces.
• Strong ability to establish and troubleshoot Robot‑PLC communication standards, including handshake and interlock signaling protocols.
• Expertise in PLC systems – Solid knowledge and hands‑on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Omron), HMI development, and troubleshooting of control systems.
• Proficient in sensor technology integration – Hands‑on experience with selecting, configuring, and implementing various sensor types in automated environments to enhance process control and machine intelligence. Proven project management abilities, with experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful project delivery.
• Leadership in automation lab environments – Experienced in managing automation labs, coordinating activities, and driving innovation

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatrons or Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
• Curious mindset with a passion for innovation and automation,
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines,
• Demonstrated experience working on a production line,
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines,
• A collaborative, solution‑oriented approach and strong communication skills,
• Analytical thinking & approach,
• Experience in reporting on key performance metrics,
• Good command of written and spoken English & Turkish.
