About

The Role

Due to continued company growth, Avove is seeking to appoint a Technician with a background in Water and/or Wastewater Engineering to join our dedicated Design and Build team. The team is currently delivering an expanding workload across our United Utilities Framework. You will play a key role in supporting the local design team by delivering detailed design services. This will include the production of technical drawings using AutoCAD and associated software, contributing to the successful delivery of projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Location: Warrington (Avove offers flexible hybrid working, with a combination of office and remote working)

Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate and technically sound CAD deliverables using 2D and/or 3D CAD software, working under appropriate supervision.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of health, safety, and welfare requirements, including the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations, and how these principles apply to design activities.
  • Comply with established technical governance procedures and quality standards.
  • Support the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) requirements on projects, in line with project and client standards.
  • Prepare and maintain document and drawing templates in accordance with company procedures.
  • Undertake technical and project‑related administrative tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills with a structured, methodical approach to problem solving.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Computer literate, with strong proficiency in the MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both clients and colleagues.
  • Applies a clear client‑focused approach to service delivery, always ensuring quality and professionalism.
  • Has a background in, or a strong desire to develop a career within, the water and wastewater industry.
