PCB Design Specialist at Fidus

Fidus is seeking a PCB Design Specialist to create high-speed, multi-layer PCBs that drive innovation in emerging technologies. Position offers the flexibility of remote work or an Ottawa base.

As part of the Fidus team, you will design and deliver complex PCBs for a variety of applications, from space systems to advanced communication technologies. Candidates should bring at least 5 years of experience in the field, showcasing a solid ability to collaborate with hardware and signal integrity teams to transition electrical designs into manufacture-ready outputs. Maintaining zero-defect standards is crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft high-speed multi-layer PCB layouts with Cadence Allegro or Altium

• Engage in thorough component placement and routing analysis

• Produce fabrication and assembly drawings, including drill files

• Lead DFA and DFM review processes with board houses

• Explore new design techniques to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB layout for various industries

• Advanced skills in electrical design constraints

• Relevant college diploma or certification required

• IPC certification as an asset

• Strong communication and customer interaction skills
