Principal UI Engineer Belfast (Hybrid from Belfast0 My client is the world's largest inter-dealer broker, connecting financial institutions across fixed income, FX, equities and commodities. Their Belfast engineering hub sits within a global technology function working on platforms that underpin some of the most complex financial markets on the planet. This is serious engineering at real scale. They are looking for a Principal UI Engineer to sit at the top of their front-end stack - someone who sets direction, owns architecture and makes the engineers around them better.

They are open to strong Senior Engineers ready to make that step up. What you'll be doing Leading UI architecture and engineering standards across a complex, high-scale financial platform Driving delivery of ambitious front-end features from design through to production Setting patterns, tooling and best practices that the wider engineering team works to Collaborating closely with product, design and back-end engineers to ship cohesive, high-quality experiences Mentoring and developing senior engineers around you Contributing to technical strategy and acting as a voice for front-end craft at leadership level What they're looking for Deep expertise in React, with a strong understanding of performance, architecture and modern front-end engineering at scale Solid experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure A track record of owning and delivering large front-end initiatives end to end Experience working in complex, multi-team product environments Someone who leads through influence and brings a team along with them Strong Senior Engineers ready to step up to Principal level are encouraged to apply This is a rare opportunity to take on a genuinely senior front-end role at one of the most established names in global financial markets, with a world-class engineering hub right here in Belfast.
