As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our dynamic Field Quality team at our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Hethel.
SummaryAs part of the Field Quality team, you will be part of an agile group responsible for driving fast containment and resolution of all field concerns within our new Lotus manufacturing facility. We are looking both within and beyond the automotive sector for a candidate exhibiting Lotus’ famous entrepreneurial spirit and an aspiration to shape the role to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
WhatYou'll Do
- Resolve top warranty items by driving continuous improvement through robust practical problem solving.
- Collaborate with all areas of the business to close out concerns and problems outside of formal reviews.
- Go above and beyond the customer expectation.
- Champion class‑leading robust practical problem solving.
- Coordinate critical issues within the field action process.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure all information is identified and populated within each project document.
- Lead each issue to the technical review group timeline, driving mitigation and campaign launch plans for field action.
- Maintain the field action process, adhering to industry standard; optimise the current system and processes to continuously improve best practices.
- Prepare the critical concern documentation for clear and concise senior leadership review for both technical and cost proposals.
- Serve as the single point of contact for market communications, both in launching campaigns as well as meeting regional authority expectations.
- Support new product strategy.
- Generate and execute a warranty system strategy for future models and customers.
- Maintain, monitor and drive core KPI deliverables.
- Drive total cost of quality in warranty.
- Maintain warranty data by utilising Power BI visuals to generate communication of campaign and warranty status to senior leadership.
- Degree qualifications in a relevant field.
- Experience in lean operations favourable.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Previous understanding of manufacturing operations and lean operations (favourable but not essential).
- Experience with warranty/ERP systems favourable.
- Self‑starter, able to work under own initiative. Must possess ‘presence’, be assertive, articulate and logical in order to have high credibility with senior management. Capability to operate under pressure. Must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach.
