Are you motivated by leading technical excellence and shaping new service offerings? We invite you to bring your proven experience in asbestos consulting to deliver strategic EHS risk management services to clients across a wide range of sectors, throughout the UK and overseas.
To succeed in this role, you must be BOHS P402, P403, P404, P405 qualified as a minimum with 5 years relevant industry experience.
We operate a flexible hybrid working policy; candidates will be based between our Birmingham or Leeds office and home working, with an expectation of travel within the UK and potential for international travel.
Your roleAs an Asbestos Consultant, you will be part of Ramboll’s global division, supporting projects across construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial environments. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and contribute to projects across a wide range of sectors.
Your key responsibilities- Deliver strategic asbestos risk management services to clients across a wide range of sectors, throughout the UK and overseas.
- Provide services to ensure related projects are managed to the highest standard.
- Support client and stakeholder supply chain decision‑making.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Engage in business development internally and externally.
- Lead client accounts.
- Advise on best practice and policy development.
- Respond to potential exposure incidents.
- Manage asbestos surveys and abatement projects.
- Develop asbestos management plans and risk reporting.
- Experience in asbestos consulting and management of survey/abatement projects.
- Comfortable working in a team and able to manage own workload.
- Ability to deliver a wide range of asbestos risk management solutions.
- Strong background in asbestos consultancy and/or project management with over 5 years’ experience within the asbestos industry.
- Experience managing large client accounts.
- Understanding of current and emerging asbestos legislation and best practice.
- Experience writing proposals, asbestos management plans, registers, policies and procedures.
- Technical authority to review asbestos survey reports and related documentation.
- Understanding of CRM.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client stakeholder and supply chain management.
- Previous role as an asbestos subject matter expert (SME) would be desirable.
- Certificate of Competence Asbestos (CoCa) would also be advantageous.
