ELD) is seeking an Environment Superintendent to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. The Environmental Superintendent leads a team in the areas of environmental management, monitoring, permitting support, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring that environmental obligations are met while supporting operational excellence and proactive environmental stewardship. The superintendent collaborates with cross-functional teams to advance environmental initiatives, fosters a strong environmental culture, and maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Take personal accountability for health and safety performance and outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality work.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve environmental management systems.
  • Oversee monitoring programs for waste rock, tailings, effluent, surface water, groundwater, soil, air quality, noise, wildlife, vegetation, aquatic biota and other as required.
  • Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and agency engagement activities.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities related to environmental incidents, including spill response, reporting, and annual updates to Guidelines.
  • Prepare permitting strategies, permitting applications, and maintain permitting schedules and timelines.
  • Prepare and review regulatory reports and technical submissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage environmental data systems and ensure data quality and traceability.
  • Support environmental aspects of mine planning, capital projects, and operational activities.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and ensure timely corrective and preventative actions.
  • Prepare, track, and administer the budget for the environment and permitting team with a focus on continual improvement and optimization.
Job Qualifications and Skills
  • 10+ years of related experience, with prior experience as a manager or supervisory position.
  • A Qualified Person with respect to the discharge and discovery section of the Saskatchewan Environmental Code or professional designation (P.Eng, P.Geo, etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency and strong technical understanding of applicable provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines including but not limited to:
    The Environmental Management and Protection Act, the Mineral Industry Environmental Protection Regulations, The Waterworks and Sewage Works Regulation, the Fisheries Act, the Metal Diamond and Mining Effluent Regulations, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act and associated regulations.
  • Possess strong analytical and organizational skills to interpret, present, communicate and manage decision making.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Takes initiative and can self-direct to accomplish goals.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $150,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short-term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
