Mechanical Designer Co-op|Mining & Metals

Our Mining Division in Eastern Canada is growing, and we are currently recruiting for a  Mechanical Designer co-op  to join our team in the Burlington office. This will be a fall term co-op.

About

The Role

Prepare high level 2D and 3D models of mineral processing equipment such as belt conveyors, tanks, pumps, crushers, mills, etc.

Help in the design and preparation of 2D and 3D models of mineral processing plants

Under supervision of a senior designer, prepare mechanical layout and detail drawings in line with project requirements.

Interface with other disciplines (Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure drawings incorporated other discipline requirements.

Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback

Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects.

About You

Currently enrolled in an accredited College Engineering co-op degree program

A strong desire to learn and an enthusiasm to grow professionally

Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.

0
-3 years relevant experience in Mechanical design

Proficiency in 3D modeling or other 3D modeling software is an asset.

Ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a must

Written and oral communication skills

Commitment and enthusiasm for learning

Salary range: $24-$25/hr
