Service Engineer

As a  Service Engineer,  you will perform activities required for the installation, start-up, technical support, and upgrades of Emerson systems at customer sites or remote from our offices in Sittard or Rijswijk. You will be responsible for performing work according to the Emerson standards of safety and quality.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Perform Control system maintenance tasks, performance evaluations, implement cybersecurity measures, Back Up and Recovery systems and more.

Provide technical support to customers regarding process system inquiries.

Perform system acceptance tests, installation, commissioning, fault analysis and rectification work at customer installations.

Assist in modernization studies and perform Hardware and Software upgrades and modifications.

Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services.

Communicate issues concerning customer happiness or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical studies in an engineering field.

0-2 years experience in Field Service Engineering or similar.

Extensive knowledge of software and operating systems.

Familiar with Emerson divisions and products.

Relevant safety training and knowledge of safety procedures.

Relevant working experience within the process industry such as Terminals, Life Science, and Chemical.

Good communication skills in Dutch and English language proficiency (written/read/spoken).

Car driving license and willingness to travel to customers in the Netherlands.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience with in Process Automation, DCS (Delta

V preferred), PLCs, Control strategies and technologies, Commissioning and start-up of Automation as well as Server, PC and network equipment, as well as familiarity with modern software tools and applications.
