Area Sales Engineer – Pumps & Rotating Equipment

Salary: £50 - £65k + Bonus and Car

We are recruiting for an experienced Area Sales Engineer to develop sales of pumps, rotating equipment, and engineered solutions across Yorkshire and the North East
.

The role involves selling directly to end users within chemical, oil & gas, wastewater, food & beverage manufacturing, and other process industries
.

We are looking for someone with strong commercial drive and proven mechanical aptitude – capable of understanding customer applications, identifying technical challenges, and recommending effective solutions.

• Develop new business and grow existing accounts across the region
• Sell pumps and rotating equipment solutions to industrial end users
• Conduct site visits to assess applications and customer requirements
• Prepare technical quotations and proposals
• Build strong relationships with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams

• Technical sales experience within pumps, rotating equipment, valves, seals, compressors, or similar mechanical equipment
• Experience selling into industrial end users
• Strong mechanical understanding and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of process industries such as chemical, oil & gas, wastewater, or food & beverage
• Excellent communication and commercial skills
• Full UK driving licence

A mechanical engineering background or qualification would be advantageous.
