Position  Piping Engineer
Responsibilities   Reporting to the Piping Engineering Lead, this position will be part of the team dedicated to managing the planning, construction and development of mining projects. More specifically, the incumbent will be called upon to:
Prepare engineering records, including models, drawings, sketches and designs for various piping systems (pumps, lines, slurry, water, air, etc.), as well as piping department plans and specifications
Contribute to the review of P&IDs
Prepare cost and time estimates, reports, design specifications, and specifications for piping equipment and systems
Prepare budget forecasts
Contribute to schedule development, ensure contractual deadlines are met and develop remediation plans as required
Prepare, negotiate and revise contracts, including amendments and additions to contractual agreements
Provide technical support to the team of piping designers for design / basic engineering and retail projects as well as during construction phases
Participate in cost-effectiveness and feasibility studies
Requirements   Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or process engineering, or other related diploma
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience
Significant asset in mining or industrial projects
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (O.I.Q.), or eligible to be
Ability to communicate in English and/or French
Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is an asset
Positive knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge of Fathom software is an asset
Knowledge of a language other than French is required for this position since G Mining Services’ clients are international and the incumbent will have to communicate with them on a regular basis

Additional Information   The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard
