Perform detailed calculations and analyses, including strength and stiffness evaluations, design optimizations, and use of FEM software.
Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with accurate time and complexity estimates and take ownership of executing technical work packages.
Lead your own multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, organizing and delegating tasks to ensure project completion.
Identify potential technical risks early and propose effective mitigation strategies.
Actively promote and implement synergy between different engineering disciplines within the project.
Take ownership of broader and more complex scopes and challenges within the mechanical domain, including stakeholder management, technical leadership of a larger team, and topics such as competence development.

What do you bring to the table?
A MSc or PhD degree in Mechanics and/or Mechatronics.
At least 5 years - and 10 years for the senior role - of experience and expertise in the field of mechatronic systems and precision mechanics.
Excellent technical skills and strong creativity to come up with unconventional (multi-disciplinary) solutions.
A strong analytical mind and a conceptual thinking level. You have excellent analytical skills, and you are experienced in the use of supporting methods and tools (NX, Teamcenter, FEM, Matlab, 20sim, etc.).
The ability to easily switch to pragmatic approaches where needed.
Good knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Cost, and Reliability.
Strong leadership and communication skills. You lead a multi-disciplinary team of designers and engineers to success.
What can you expect in return from Sioux?
A flexible 32-40 hour working week, with room to work from home.
A healthy work-life balance with 28 holidays and an option to acquire an additional 12 holidays.
You will work with passionate colleagues who share your drive for technology and business success.
Opportunity to work on challenging high-tech projects by combining expertise in software, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, mathematics, and assembly.
You get a lot of freedom and responsibility, knowing exactly what you are doing.
Personal coaching and a training budget of €6000 per year to support your development.
Fun activities like family festivals, Christmas parties, and knowledge sessions for the high-tech community.
Work on the Sioux Campus in the Brainport region, with access to Sioux Labs for lunch, sports, music, or sharing knowledge in Tech Labs.
High-Tech, High-Fun, High-Value. We can tell you about Sioux's culture and high-tech projects, but we prefer our colleagues share their experiences.
