Overview
Join our team and be part of an exciting execution-phase project in the North American mining industry. You'll play a key role in critical project phases, from Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering to Construction, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commodities.
Responsibilities- Effectively manage all onsite activities in the delivery of projects to ensure the successful delivery of the project; constructed on time, to budget and in accordance with Ausenco objectives.
- Ensure that the site runs according to project plans with appropriately skilled staff available at the required times to complete construction tasks.
- Unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve construction deadlines.
- Lead the civil & earthworks delivery – bulk earthworks, drainage, roads, stockpiles, and water management ponds.
- Manage tailings & water systems – TSF embankments, liners, reclaim systems, pit dewatering, and water treatment.
- Industrial facilities & services – batch plants, crushing/screening, temporary utilities, site services.
- Mining & infrastructure interface – coordination across mine development, haul roads, bridges, tunnels, and access routes.
- EPCM leadership – managing multiple contractors, interface registers, regulatory engagement, and strong HSE focus.
- Manage the construction work in accordance with the project schedule and the project budget.
- Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.
- Ensure industrial relations issues are properly managed and not allowed to escalate.
- Key support for the Project Director as a member of the Project Leadership Team.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, mining, or geotechnical engineering. A professional engineering designation (P.Eng./PE or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the commercial aspects of construction contracting including the management of changes and variations.
- 12+ years in large-scale mining or heavy industrial EPCM projects.
- At least 5 years in a senior construction leadership position.
- Strong experience in heavy earthworks, earthmoving and infrastructure works.
- Have previous experience in process plants and mining projects in excess of US $500M.
- Significant management experience in the construction environment and a thorough knowledge of all phases of construction is essential to have experience working in a mine construction environment.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary range: $145,000 – $195,000 annually.
