About the Role

Amentum is seeking a Civil Ports and Maritime Engineer to join our team, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure across the UK Defence sector. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working model combining office and remote work with occasional site visits across the UK. As part of our UK Ports and Maritime capability, you will gain technical exposure to civil, structural, geotechnical, seismic, and maritime engineering, contributing to the delivery of complex, high‑value defence programmes.

Working closely with experienced engineers and project teams, you will play an active role in technical delivery while developing your knowledge and experience within a collaborative environment.

Reporting to senior members of the team, you will benefit from structured mentorship and professional development, gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects and disciplines. • Support the delivery of critical infrastructure across the UK Defence sector.
• Deliver technical solutions in civil, structural, geotechnical, seismic, and maritime engineering.

• Participate in the full project lifecycle, from early‑stage studies and concept development through to detailed design and construction.

• Minimum 2:1 MEng degree in Civil Engineering with a solid grasp of core engineering principles.
• Interest in civil and structural design with familiarity in British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Enthusiasm for developing knowledge in maritime civil engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to apply engineering theory in practical environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Organised and motivated approach, able to manage tasks and support project delivery.
