A Snapshot of Your Day

You provide manufacturing specialist support to the design and manufacture of turbine blades, vanes and seal segments for our aeroderivative gas turbine products.

You work with internal and external suppliers to ensure the manufacture of conforming turbine blades, vanes and seal segments.

As necessary, you visit our manufacturing partners in different parts of the world.

The working environment is dynamic, fast‑paced, challenging and motivating.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Assess manufacturing risks, define necessary validation requirements, and review and approve supplier manufacturing documentation to ensure that components satisfy design intent.
  • Support suppliers to ensure the production of components at required volumes, quality and cost.
  • Support suppliers in the development of new manufacturing technologies and capabilities.
  • Support design for manufacturing activities to ensure improved manufacturability, reduced non‑conformance, improved yields and reduced cost.
  • Ensure governance is employed to the appropriate manufacturing standards during new product introduction and ongoing continuous improvement activities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field, with 10+ years of experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine blade, vane, and seal segment manufacturing, including expertise in hot‑end materials and processes such as grinding, electro‑discharge machining (EDM), laser drilling, and measurement systems.
  • Experience in PFMEA (Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis), supplier manufacturing capability assessment, continuous Improvement, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Experience with Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) and Method Verification Approval (MVA) or equivalent (ex. PPQP/APQP).
  • Member or eligible to become a member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • This position is in a French‑speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
