About Your Future Job
The extraction building block is the component in the radar system that extracts all the relevant physical information of possible targets out of a large stream of received data. The information that is extracted are, estimates of the range, direction of arrival (DOA) i.e. elevation and azimuth, radial velocity, and size of a target. For these estimates and other functionalities, algorithms need to be developed and maintained.

Each algorithm needs a set of parameters to function optimally, and these parameters need to be tuned. Seldomly do products work as intended when switched on for the first time, so an important part of the job is to recognize and analyze problems when they occur and find elegant and efficient solutions to further optimize the building block.
