This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to take the next step in their career or an established Senior Estimator seeking a fully remote position with a respected contractor delivering major infrastructure and earthworks projects across the UK.
The business operates across a range of civil engineering sectors, undertaking large-scale earthworks, enabling works, highways, infrastructure and major civil engineering schemes for both public and private sector clients.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing the tendering process from initial enquiry through to final submission, ensuring competitive and commercially viable bids are produced.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for major civil engineering and earthworks projects.
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
* Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Identifying project risks and opportunities during the tender process.
* Liaising with clients, consultants and internal departments to develop winning bid strategies.
* Attending tender review meetings and handovers with operational teams.
* Supporting business development activities and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements
* Proven experience working as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within the civil engineering sector.
* Strong understanding of earthworks, infrastructure and major civils projects.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
* Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
