Are you a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC experience? Looking to be part of a forward-thinking team delivering vital infrastructure improvements across the South West? We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure business, supporting delivery across National Highways framework projects. With schemes typically up to £1m in value, this role offers excellent exposure to a high-volume, technically engaging portfolio.
Duties- Managing the commercial aspects of NEC contracts across multiple schemes
- Leading subcontract procurement, tender evaluation and appointment
- Preparing and managing applications for payment, valuations and final accounts
- Administering compensation events, change control and variations
- Supporting cost control, forecasting and CVR reporting
- Ensuring contractual compliance, including timely notices and obligations
- Working closely with delivery teams to identify risks and opportunities
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within highways or civil engineering projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4)
- Experience working on frameworks would be beneficial
- A solid understanding of commercial processes, cost control and contract administration
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively across project teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
