Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer Hybrid Role
Location: greater sudbury

Lead innovative geotechnical projects as a Senior Engineer with KCB in Fredericton, NB. Collaborate on mining ventures while designing tailing storage facilities and mentoring junior staff.
KCB is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to both local and international mining projects. Your expertise in civil or geotechnical engineering will be essential in planning, assessing, and constructing tailings and water dams. You'll have the chance to develop in specialized roles or project management, based on your career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design tailing storage facilities for global mining initiatives

• Conduct dam safety inspections and develop safety systems

• Mentor and train junior engineers in design methodologies

• Act as a senior technical resource in project teams

• Prepare technical reports and project documentation
Requirements:

• Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering; master’s preferred

• 20+ years of relevant experience in mining projects

• Eligibility for P.Eng registration in Canada

• Proficiency in PLAXIS, FLAC, and SLOPE/W software

• Effective communication skills and report writing
