A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual with specialist skills as an Engineering Training Instructor to work on MBDA’s Complex Weapons domain missiles and missile systems products at an overseas location.

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) after offer, managed by MBDA Personnel Security Team.

£40,000 – £49,000 dependent on experience + benefits.

MBDA is a world leader in missile and weapon systems. As part of business growth, MBDA is establishing a new support team in Poland to enable us to deliver our commitments over the coming decade. The support team will be newly formed, drawing on experienced and newly recruited persons across the UK and Poland. This growth creates an exciting, high‑impact role.

• An instructor to actively assist in the training delivery of an MBDA Complex System Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) product to an Export Customer, ensuring the highest quality, on time and on cost.
• Initial overseas deployment as part of an MBDA Training Team, delivering In‑Country Operator and Maintainer Training to the Customer, with sensitivity to local culture and requirements.
• Working knowledge of the GBAD domain is an advantage; the ability to assist in field support engineering is also valued. Training will be provided before deployment.
• Substantial experience in engineering or an engineering‑related subject; degree level education in engineering or related subject desirable but not essential.
• A Defence Instructor qualification or civilian equivalent is desirable; experience within a Training Team environment is essential.
• Experience in Training Needs Analysis (TNA), with the ability to interpret TNA studies, produce reports, assist in the production of Course Training Plans, Lesson Plans and Training Materiel.
• Knowledge of engineering training and processes within a military structure is a bonus; the role may require responding to technical queries from the military customer or providing support to design, trials or projects.
• Ability to liaise with product suppliers in support of training technologies or equipment development, while maintaining technical reports and records of all training and field support activities to a high standard.
• Involvement in field support activities and participation in a Contractor’s Working Party at remote locations within the deployed country, UK or overseas.
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer and industrial partner interaction, resilience and good communication, with the ability to maintain a professional, calm manner even when last‑minute changes occur.

• Deployment overseas for a minimum of 3 years as part of a MBDA Customer Support Training Team, delivering Operator and Maintainer Training and Train‑the‑Trainer Courses on MBDA’s GBAD Weapons product.
• Lead both theoretical and practical product training and technical field support at the customer’s location, assisting the Training Team in producing project timeline plans, course training plans, training material and development reports on time and on cost.
