What excites you as a Electro-mechanical Designer?
From our office in Eindhoven and sometimes at our clients' premises you like to keep yourself busy with:
Challenging and creative electromechanical designs. The Inspection & Analysis domain demands higher data throughput, faster results, and greater precision, requiring technically innovative solutions.
Product and technology development from concept to operational product , whether it’s a one off design or a serial production project.
Close collaboration with the system architect, mechanical & electrical colleagues, project manager, other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and the wider project team to ensure alignment and synergy.
Translating specifications into an (electro-) mechanical concept, including budgeting, conceptual and detailed design, testing needs, and integration requirements—ensuring a successful development cycle and a high quality final product.
Contributing to the electromechanical competence within our organization, supporting technical growth and shared success.
Sounds good so far? We'd love to tell you more…
This is what you bring to the table
Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-mechanics.
Experience developing modules for E‑beam, X‑ray, Optical, and/or High‑Voltage systems.
Proven track record in designing mechanical components for electronic devices and PCB assemblies within high‑tech systems and/or equipment, with a preference for high‑voltage systems.
Practical experience conducting design verification, building prototypes, and performing mechanical testing and validation, including reporting.
Minimum of 7 years of electromechanical design experience.
Strong multidisciplinary understanding of how mechanical expertise integrates into complex modules.
Strong conceptual thinking, design, and simulation capabilities using relevant tools, combined with a pragmatic, hands‑on attitude.
Theoretical and practical knowledge in:
Materials (e.g., non‑magnetic)
Insulation (conductivity, permittivity)
Environmental conditions (vacuum, cleanliness, thermal behaviour, stability)
Design for Assembly & Manufacturing (e.g., joining/fixating materials, potting)
Extensive background in performing thermal and structural analyses, including full‑module thermal management for electronics and PCB‑based enclosures.
Skilled in developing detailed mechanical assemblies such as enclosures, heatsinks, and RF/EMI shielding, with a focus on manufacturability, durability, and cost‑efficient solutions.
Highly proficient in 3D CAD tools, delivering complete 2D technical drawings, assembly models, and engineering documentation (specifications, assembly guidelines).
Self‑driven, solution‑oriented, and assertive.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Additionally, basic knowledge of design principles in precision mechanics is considered a plus.
This is what you can expect in return from Sioux
Flexible 32-40 hour working week, with room to work from home.
