Job Summary
The Field Service Representative (FSR) provides field support across Liquid Power Canada’s customer base in all aspects of injection equipment and product management. The position is hands‑on, requiring both electrical and mechanical acumen, and must adhere to LPC guidelines for product and injection system quality and reliability. The FSR must live or be willing to relocate within 150 km of Kamloops, BC, Canada and will work from a home office.
Travel of 50–75 % of the time is required, with up to 75 % of travel performed by pickup truck or airplane. The FSR maintains a local parts, equipment, and tool storage location and uses an approved half‑ton pickup truck. The role is guided by a Regional Manager, Field Services and may include additional duties as assigned.
Hourly Wage in CAD: $53.00 – $66.00 per hour (final placement within this range will be determined by specific skills, qualifications, and relevant experience).
Responsibilities- Provide support in all aspects of equipment management in a designated geographic area and/or support other FSRs with additional resources.
- Serve as backup for all customer field‑related equipment and product management issues.
- Conduct training with customer field personnel on routine and scheduled preventative maintenance, proper operation, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
- Manage and maintain on‑site injection equipment and product through regular site visits, phone calls, and reviews of live monitoring data.
- Enhance overall product reliability by training field personnel on handling, transloading, recirculation, waste, and disposal procedures.
- Continuously update the asset‑management database with work performed, product issues, and other pertinent data.
- Provide effective and courteous customer service, technical support, and troubleshooting via telephone and field visits.
- Facilitate procurement of non‑standard components and spare parts and ensure compliance with company and departmental requirements.
- Maintain adequate inventory of parts and materials for all assigned sites to ensure prompt corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Support Sales in developing commercial relationships and customer account strategies.
- Provide input to ensure product and injection systems meet customer needs and enhance LSPI’s market image.
- Implement Liquid Power's process objectives at customer field sites.
- Maintain and improve Liquid Power's Quality System procedures for field implementation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- In‑depth knowledge of safe work practices in plant and remote site operations and commitment to working safely without exception.
- Minimum 3–5 years of I&E and/or mechanical equipment/technical hands‑on experience in an oilfield, manufacturing, chemical plant, or similar industry setting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Skill in troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems and providing innovative solutions.
- Experience diagnosing instrumentation equipment, including flow meters, transmitters, and transducers.
- Professional, proactive, and ethical customer interaction.
- High competency with Microsoft Office, inventory/asset management software, and field technology.
- Willingness to travel and ability to work remotely.
- Independent goal setting and scheduling with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current/valid passport and "TWIC" card or ability to obtain both.
- Knowledge of the pipeline and/or DRA industry.
- Knowledge of injection system technology.
- Working knowledge of Siemens or similar PLC (Programmable Logic Control).
- Associate’s degree in Electronics/Electronics Technology or equivalent training and certification.
- Maintain a home office with high‑speed internet (cost reimbursable).
- Maintain and stock a local storage unit for equipment, tools, parts, and job‑related materials (items provided or reimbursed by the Company).
