Senior Engineer in our Transportation team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of how people and communities move. You’ll work across new build, renewal, maintenance, and assessment projects—ranging from high‑profile schemes to innovative, specialised programmes.
- Lead technical delivery of highways and/or active travel engineering projects and provide key technical input into multi-disciplinary projects.
- Maintain and develop excellent client relationships.
- Develop a team of engineers, technicians and apprentices.
- Check, review and oversee the work of others.
- Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary global team for delivery of projects.
- Support the business in winning work including representing the business at networking events, contributing to bids and tenders, establishing, maintaining and developing relationships with existing and prospective internal and external clients.
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or Professionally Qualified, or near qualified at Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Level.
- Experience/knowledge of the design and design process involved in highways and/or active travel schemes.
- Proven ability to coach and develop team members.
- Willingness to work flexibly to deliver projects to time and budget.
- Self‑motivated and able to work both single‑handedly and within a larger multi‑discipline team in directing and managing packages of work to completion.

- Security clearance:
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
