Position: CIMA+ Electrical Substation Engineer
Join CIMA+ as an Electrical Substation Engineer to shape the future of energy. This intermediate role combines home-based design work with site visits to enhance electrical substations.

As part of CIMA+'s Energy & Resources team, you will be responsible for generating schematics for substations and generation facilities from our Ottawa or Mississauga offices.

Your role will involve validating site conditions and ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and standards in your designs. You'll work autonomously on various projects with potential travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create design drawings for substations and generation facilities

• Validate site conditions and complete survey reports

• Ensure compliance with client standards and codes

• Prepare material requisitions and cost estimates

• Collaborate with other disciplines throughout projects

Requirements:

• 7+ years in electrical layout in the energy sector

• Degree or diploma in electrical technology

• Experience with CAD and design software

• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities

• Client-focused with a keen attention to detail
