Senior Forensic Fire Engineer

Position: Senior Forensic Fire Engineer Hybrid Role
Take on a Senior Forensic Fire Engineer position at Aviva, where you will investigate and analyze fire incidents while working in a hybrid model. Drive engineering excellence through innovative investigations.

Aviva requires an experienced engineer with at least 8-10 years in forensic fire investigations. You will conduct detailed assessments following incidents, apply scientific methodologies, and provide insights to claims professionals. Success in this role consists of forming client relationships and communicating investigative findings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead investigations into fires and explosions to determine causes

• Document findings through on-site inspections and analyses

• Prepare technical reports for a non-technical audience

• Guide and review investigations conducted by external experts

• Collaborate on complex loss solutions within the engineering team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant engineering field

• Licensure as a Professional Engineer in Ontario

• 8-10 years in field investigations

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Ability to travel within Ontario on short notice
