HVAC Expert

Role Overview  We are looking for an HVAC Expert to join our Center of Excellence at our international headquarters in Hoofddorp. The role involves advising Construction and Maintenance teams, reviewing HVAC designs, conducting on‑site diagnostics, and ensuring that the climate systems across Europe perform at their best.
Responsibilities   Review and assess HVAC plans for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards—including calculating capacities, pipe diameters, air velocities, and flow rates.
Evaluate quotations against technical plans and specifications, assess materials, brands, pricing and estimated labour hours, and formally approve the quotes.
Monitor installation progress during construction, conduct technical handovers, and prepare completion reports.
Carry out HVAC inspections at clubs with reported climate issues or system failures, identify root causes, and guide resolution processes.
Conduct spot‑check maintenance audits across the portfolio.
Advise Construction and Facility Management on larger HVAC replacements or modifications, including scope, design, technical execution, and pricing.
Qualifications   At least 5–8 years of experience in the design, installation, or management of HVAC systems in complex, large‑scale environments (retail, leisure, healthcare, or similar).
Minimum bachelor’s level education in mechanical engineering, building services, construction or a comparable field.
In‑depth knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation (flow rates, CO₂ control), heating installations, and building management systems (BMS).
Broad market knowledge of relevant brands and suppliers, with the ability to advise independently.

Experience with European standards and regulations in ventilation, refrigeration, and energy performance of buildings.
Excellent command of English (professional level); knowledge of Dutch, French, Spanish or German is an advantage.
Benefits   Monthly gross salary between €5,000 and €7,000 based on experience and background, based on a 40‑hour week.
