Our client, a leading global gold mining organization
, is seeking an experienced Permitting Project Scheduler to support major mine development and capital projects across Canada.

This unique role sits at the intersection of Environmental Permitting, Engineering, Construction, and Project Controls
, supporting the planning and coordination of environmental approvals required to advance major mining projects from development through execution.

The successful candidate will work closely with Environmental Permitting and Major Projects teams to develop permitting schedules, track regulatory milestones, coordinate with construction planners, and ensure alignment between permitting activities and overall project execution plans.

We look for a candidate with strong Primavera P6 scheduling experience and a background in engineering, construction, mining, or major capital projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement permitting activity scheduling strategies in collaboration with Environmental Permitting and Major Projects teams
  • Identify, monitor, and manage critical permitting milestones and regulatory approval timelines
  • Ensure effective integration between permitting schedules and construction master schedules
  • Coordinate planning and progress meetings with permitting teams, project stakeholders, consultants, and regulatory groups
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction activities
  • Build and maintain master project schedules to support realistic and achievable project execution timelines
  • Monitor schedule performance, critical path activities, constraints, and project risks
  • Analyze schedule impacts and recommend recovery strategies to mitigate delays and maintain project objectives
  • Coordinate planning activities with construction managers, site supervisors, and project teams
  • Review contractor manpower curves and resource plans to ensure alignment with project schedules
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly schedule reports, progress updates, and performance metrics
  • Support project teams in developing schedule-related strategies and proactively identifying scheduling conflicts
Qualifications
  • College diploma or university degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of project scheduling experience within engineering, construction, mining, infrastructure, or industrial environments
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling methodologies, and critical path analysis
  • Experience supporting mining, major capital projects, industrial construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Experience coordinating schedules across multiple project disciplines including engineering, procurement, construction, and permitting
  • Exposure to environmental permitting, regulatory approvals, or project development activities is considered a strong asset
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self‑motivated professional capable of managing priorities within a fast‑paced project environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Additional Information

Flexible work arrangement between Val-d'Or, Rouyn-Noranda, and Home Office

Standard 5 days on / 2 days off (5/2) schedule
