M&E Engineer – Connect Plus Services (M25 Project)

This role is based in Leatherhead, South Mimms or Dartford, with a requirement to work across CPS depots (Leatherhead, Dartford & South Mimms) and attend site visits as needed.

CPS is a joint venture between Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis. We operate and maintain the M25 – the busiest motorway in Europe – delivering over £100m of annual investment alongside planned and reactive maintenance.

• Provide technical assurance and review of designs, ensuring alignment with DMRB, MCHW and industry standards
• Lead and support M&E design delivery from concept through to construction
• Have the ability to undertake small scale M&E design work
• Challenge contractor and designer proposals to drive safe, efficient and innovative solutions
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary schemes, including within tunnel environments
• Manage design programmes, external consultants and key stakeholder interfaces (e.g. National Highways)
• Support renewal strategies and continuous improvement across CPS projects
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and quality management processes

• Experience delivering Mechanical & Electrical projects within the Strategic Road Network
• Knowledge of DMRB, MCHW and relevant UK/European standards
• Experience or understanding of AMTEC software or other related systems
• Ability to support or deliver mechanical & electrical design, with experience using AutoCAD
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or a related discipline)
• Professionally qualified (or working towards) with a recognised institution
