Position: New Product Introduction Engineer

Your role in our mission
As an NPI Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, quality engineers, and purchasers within the APQP environment. Together, you will translate customer requirements (build‑to‑print) into feasible and manufacturable production solutions. Your involvement starts during the RFQ phase, where technical feasibility, production processes, and manufacturability are assessed. A typical product is cold formed and subsequently machined to achieve the required critical tolerances.

Depending on your background and expertise, the focus of the role may be on:

Specifying and setting up machining processes to meet product requirements;

Specifying and implementing automation and product handling solutions (e.g. transportation, measurement, and sorting).

In addition, you will have the following responsibilities:

Translating customer drawings and technical standards into internal production drawings and manufacturing guidelines;

Supporting RFQ activities by assessing technical feasibility and manufacturability;

Developing and optimizing production processes and manufacturing methods;

Developing and optimizing machining, automation and/or product handling processes;

Ensuring quality through the use of tools such as FMEA, Control Plans and MSA;

Developing stable production processes and successfully transferring them to manufacturing;

Collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, Production and Purchasing throughout the development process.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field;

Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within a technical manufacturing environment;

Experience with machining, CNC operations, and/or automation and product handling;

Experience in working with measuring systems/equipment is considered a plus;

A hands‑on mentality combined with a proactive and pragmatic working style;

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams;

Proficiency in both Dutch and English is required, German is considered a strong advantage;

Experience with CAD software such as Solid Works or comparable design software is preferred, and/or the willingness to learn CAD.
