Project Coordinator (Construction / Engineering)

Fully Remote from South Africa.

Work from home while supporting an international design and engineering consultancy with headquarters in the United Kingdom and projects across the globe.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a respected international consultancy specialising in architectural lighting solutions for premium residential, hospitality, retail and commercial developments worldwide.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of project delivery, supporting the coordination of technical, commercial and procurement activities across high-profile international projects. You will work closely with project leaders, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered accurately, profitably and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate project order schedules and procurement information.
  • Review supplier quotations and specifications for accuracy.
  • Support project costing, estimating and commercial activities.
  • Assist with project budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate project variations and change management processes.
  • Maintain project records, issue trackers and progress reports.
  • Support contractors and project teams with technical queries.
  • Monitor project progress and help resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within construction, engineering, building services, project coordination or a related technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction, engineering or project delivery processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness and analytical thinking ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools.
Advantageous
  • Technical knowledge of electrical products and/or lighting products.
  • Experience with estimating, project costing or commercial administration.
  • Experience supporting contractors, consultants or project delivery teams.
  • Exposure to procurement and supplier coordination.
  • Experience working with international stakeholders or project teams.
