Azure Data Engineer
Up to £65,000 – Fully Remote.
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a well‑established, international organization operating within a sustainability‑focused industry. Our client is a global leader in chemical cleaning and environmental solutions, offering a fully integrated service across equipment, chemicals and waste management. With decades of experience, they deliver tailored solutions which help businesses perform at their best while reducing environmental impact.
You will play a key role in designing, building and optimising scalable data platforms within Azure, supporting the organization’s evolving data strategy. Working with large, complex datasets and modern cloud technologies, you will deliver robust data pipelines and solutions that power business‑critical reporting, analytics and insights.
This role sits within the BI & Data team consisting of both Data Engineers and Data Analysts. It is an ideal opportunity for a hands‑on Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and driving continuous improvements in a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking environment.
Responsibilities- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python enabling efficient data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop and manage data solutions using Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics and other Azure data services.
- Support integration and migration of key data sources.
- Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries for efficient data transformation and processing.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data quality, performance and reliability across the data platform.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer delivering solutions in cloud‑based environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data integration and pipeline development.
- Advanced SQL skills as well as Python/PySpark experience for data processing.
- Exposure to Power BI or other reporting tools is beneficial.
- Salary up to £65,000.
