The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 engineering services provider delivering works on Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, supporting a diverse UK and European supply chain while ensuring products and services consistently meet the highest quality standards.

The Role

Working closely with suppliers, procurement, engineering and project teams, you will be responsible for supplier qualification, auditing, supplier performance management and continuous improvement activities across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct supplier qualification and supplier audits
  • Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance
  • Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Review Contract Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis
  • Support manufacturing quality activities and source inspections
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, procurement and construction teams
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project quality requirements
Requirements
  • Experience with in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, coatings, extrusion, NDT or similar
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience within a regulated industry
  • Experience leading audits and supplier improvement activities

Experience with in Nuclear, Defence, Rail, Aerospace, Food, Pharmaceutical Oil & Gas or another regulated industry would be advantageous.
