Project Design Engineer

42,000 + discretionary bonus

Hours:

08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

The client designs hygiene‑contained rooms and is based in Thetford. They are looking to bring in a new member to join their team of Design Engineers and assist with day‑to‑day operations.

• Create detailed Revit/BIM models for modular and steel X2011 framed building designs
• Design integrated MEP systems, including HVAC, ductwork, piping, and electrical layouts
• Develop coordinated design solutions across mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural elements
• Produce high‑quality technical drawings, layouts, and supporting documentation
• Manage multiple design projects, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency throughout
• Refine and validate designs through site surveys, 3D scanning, and collaboration with contractors

• 3+ years of experience using Revit within a BIM environment
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
• Ability to read and produce detailed HVAC and MEP schematics
• Experience designing and coordinating building services layouts
• Strong technical drawing and 3D modelling skills
• Detail‑focused with a high standard of design accuracy
