Position: TPE IV/ Senior Civil Engineer – Mining Projects

The Senior Civil Engineer manages all site construction activities for large-scale mining infrastructure projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at a remote site. This role oversees the full project lifecycle from initial ground breaking through structural execution to final field handover, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Pre‑Construction & Earthworks
  • Lead pre‑construction site assessments, surveys, and site mobilization.
  • Manage massive earthworks, bulk excavations, and grading operations.
  • Verify ground stabilization, soil compaction and improvement if applicable.
Civil & Structural Execution
  • Oversee foundation pouring and curing for mining infrastructure.
  • Supervise structural steel and reinforced concrete installation for processing plants. Ensure that Contractor is following the project specifications and engineering design. Issue non‑conformance reports for unacceptable construction incidents.
  • Direct waterproofing, thermal insulation, and asset protection systems against harsh climates.
Infrastructure & Drainage
  • Design deploy comprehensive stormwater drainage networks and flood mitigation systems. The design should be all completed by the home office prior to construction. The field engineer may be involved in limited design tasks which are mainly a modification to the original design.
  • Manage civil finishing works including heavy‑haul mining roads and access pavements.
  • Coordinate utility trenching, pipelines, and containment pond construction.
Field Support & Safety
  • Provide real‑time field engineering support and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols alongside local regulatory bodies.
  • Review engineering drawings and 3D model to resolve onsite design clashes and respond to technical queries (RFIs).
Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration
    :
    Mandatory registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Experience
    : 10+ years in heavy industrial construction, infrastructure, or mining projects.
  • Regulations
    :
    Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local environmental laws.
  • Skills
    :
    Deep knowledge of earthwork, geotechnical, structural steel, structural concrete, and hot‑weather concreting practices.
