About the Role

Supporting Balfour Beatty’s Sustainability Strategy, this role delivers carbon forecasting, reporting and data capture/analysis for the LTC project, aligning with company and client carbon reduction targets.

• Undertake carbon baselining and forecasting for live projects, ensuring estimates are complete, using tailored carbon factors, and auditable for PAS 2080 compliance.
• Provide carbon analysis from Candy or support others, giving preconstruction and delivery teams insight into hotspots and focus areas for reduction.
• Support development of processes to collate actual carbon data from in‑flight projects.
• Ensure benchmarking data is fed back during preconstruction and delivery stages, verifying consistency and accuracy.
• Utilise Moata or similar for carbon reporting to the client.
• Promote use of common coding, standardised templates and processes to facilitate data collection for benchmarking.

• Demonstrable industry experience in a technical role (engineering/commercial) across major infrastructure or civil engineering projects, with an understanding of construction methods, processes and temporary works.
• Experience in preconstruction or construction delivery phases incorporating major, complex civil engineering.
• Commitment to driving change and strengthening carbon management capability across the business.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling relationships at all levels of the business.
