Water Resources Project Specialist

Position: Water Resources Project Specialist Hybrid Role
Join the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority as a Water Resources Project Specialist. This hybrid role focuses on flood risk management and supports critical watershed projects while working up to 50% remotely.

As a vital team member, you will assist in maintaining and upgrading flood risk management tools and help develop policies and procedures for natural hazards. Your experience with hydraulic/hydrologic models and GIS will support climate change initiatives and the UTRCA’s Flood Forecasting System.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in upgrading flood risk management tools

• Support the maintenance of water and erosion control structures

• Contribute to climate change projects and policy development

• Engage with stakeholders across communities and agencies

• Document and report project work clearly and effectively

Requirements:

• Degree in civil engineering or water resources

• Experience with hydraulic/hydrologic models and ArcGIS

• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills

• Commitment to a diverse and inclusive work environment

• Ontario Professional Engineer designation preferred
